AN ORCHARD is being planted at a school in Shaftesbury.
Staff and pupils at the Abbey School have been working on a large area of waste ground to create “Anne’s Orchard” – dedicated to retired minister the Rev Anne Heyward.
Head teacher Peter Meacham said the idea had been suggested by year five pupil Douggie Wilson and had been named soon after.
Fruit trees are needed for the orchard. Call the school on 01747 852620.
