IT’S not often upmarket estate agent Stephen Noble has anything on its books for £30,000.

But some people could be forgiven for thinking this property is a bit on the pricey side.

At just 24x24ft and totally empty, the double garage may not be most people’s idea of a desirable purchase.

But, having done your sums, it may not be quite as extortionate as you first thought.

With car parking charges of up to £9 per day in nearby Bournemouth town centre it would take just six-and-a-half years to make up the £30,000 cost if you park two cars all day, five days a week.

The garage is on a site occupied by two blocks of flats in Dean Park Road, within walking distance of the town centre.

Until recently, it has been used to house a Rolls Royce but the garage is now up for sale following the death of its owner.

“We are expecting a lot of interest,” said Nigel Still, director of Stephen Noble LaneFox in Yelverton Road.

“There may be someone who has an expensive or classic car that needs to be protected or perhaps someone who spends a lot of time abroad.”

Mr Still said a single garage sold recently in Bournemouth town centre for £40,000 and added: “This one has only just been advertised and we expect to sell it.”
