PLAYING the giant in the classic tale of Jack and the Beanstalk is a big role in more ways than one – but at 7ft and 7.5 inches tall, actor Neil Fingleton certainly fits the bill.
Neil who according to the Guinness Book of Records is officially the UK’s tallest living person, has just started rehearsals for this year’s Poole pantomime, which opens at Lighthouse on Friday December 11.
He is joined by Rupert Hill and Jenny Platt, who will be playing Jack and Jill in the panto. The couple, who are expecting their first baby next March, met while playing on-screen lovers Jamie Baldwin and Violet Wilson in Coronation Street.
They will be playing alongside TV legend Antonio Fargas, best known for playing the role of Huggy Bear in the hit 1970s series Starsky and Hutch. Local comedian Mike Newman Jnr, Heart radio presenter Caroline Verdon, local former model Maria Rice Mundy and George Neville complete the line-up.
