Lymington police want a woman driver to come forward who stopped after her 4x4 vehicle was in collision with a 10-year-old schoolboy on a crossing in South Street, Pennington.
A police spokesman said the woman, who is aged about 40 and has blonde or white hair, spoke to the lad but then got back into her four-wheel drive and drove south to the A337 without providing any details.
The collision, which left the boy with a reddened knee, happened between 3.15pm and 3.30pm on Monday.
