AROUND 40 firefighters from across Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire were called to a Fire at a house in the New Forest early this morning.
The fire at the detached house in the centre of Martin near Fordingbridge around 2am caused severe damage to the ground floor and roof.
The occupiers of the house in Main Road escaped unhurt and the fire was extinguished by around 4.45am.
Fire crews from Fordingbridge, Ringwood, Cranborne, Verwood, Salisbury, Wilton, Beaulieu, Eastleigh and St Mary's in Southampton attended.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
