Wreck recovered from Poole Quay waters

A battered boat which sank in Poole Harbour on Monday night (16) has been recovered.

The Channel Chieftain IV was raised by giant cranes today (THUR 19) during the 5am low tide.

The 94-tonne vessel was towed by the Poole Harbour Commissioners’ tugboat, the Herbert Ballam, to Sunseeker’s quayside hoist, where it was lifted on to a 500-tonne capacity barge.

The wreck has been transported upstream where it will be broken up.

See tomorrow's Daily Echo for full story.

This is a story?
I hve lost count of the number of wrecks that I have seen on Poole Quay, (most of us coming from the pub)!

A very poorly written article indeed. Perhaps the author would like to mention how this vessel came to lie at the bottom of the harbour in the first place? And no, I'm not going to play the video to find out.

I would like to hear you say that face to face!
How does one get face to face with a nameless coward?
