UPTON Junior School is celebrating after being upgraded to “good” by Ofsted after its latest inspection.
For the past two inspections, carried out every three years, the school had been judged as “satisfactory.”
But now, under the leadership of head teacher Paul Howieson, Ofsted has graded it “good” with some outstanding areas.
The report showed that attainment is above the national average, parents have positive views about the school and behaviour in lessons was often exemplary.
