POST Office services return to Wimborne on Thursday (October 29) when a temporary cabin finally opens in the King Street car park.

The portable building has a ramp at the entrance, and will offer the same range of products and services as before.

The branch on the High Street closed after being badly damaged in a fire on July 4.

Once an extensive refurbishment has been completed the service will return to its original location.

Post Office Ltd manager Mel Fry said: “I can appreciate the inconvenience caused to our customers following the sudden temporary closure of the branch.

“I am pleased all our efforts have finally been successful in restoring services to the area and would like to thank all of the local parties for their support in this venture.”
