20 years ago: Martha Reeves & the Vandellas + Mary Wells – Pavilion Theatre, Bournemouth (31.10.89). Sadly, Ms Wells was well past her prime and a few months later she was diagnosed with laryngeal cancer.

Kelly Monteith – Winter Gardens, Bournemouth (28.10.84): Briefly popular US comedian.

Steve Bendow + Cyril Tawney – Winter Gardems, Bournemouth (28.1.64).

The Beatles – Gaumont, Bournemouth (30.10.64): The last time the Fab Four played Bournemouth – wonder what ever happened to them? Support bill was headed by Motown’s Mary Wells.
