SAY what you like about Katie Price, but she certainly knows how to make an entrance.

After a dental emergency forced the model to pull out of last week’s Bournemouth book signing, all the talk amongst queuing fans was whether she would actually turn up this time.

The tension increased as Katie’s scheduled arrival time came – and went.

But when she did strut into WH Smith 45 minutes later, all was forgiven.

Wearing a sapphire-blue backless mini-dress (because the book’s called Sapphire – get it?), skyscraping heels and a massive tiara, she looked more suited for nightclubbing than a Saturday morning book signing at Castlepoint.

And the fact she brought two of her children in tow – two-year-old Princess Tiaamii and four-year-old Junior – earned her extra brownie points with the adoring crowd.

Both children, who looked slightly bemused at the fuss sparked by their mother’s entrance, were placated with colouring books and soft drinks while Katie – also known as Jordan – posed for a large crowd of photographers and spoke to journalists.

Talking about her decision to pull out of last week’s signing, she said: “I lost my veneer. I wouldn’t have looked good turning up with a missing tooth.”

And asked to describe the plot of her latest novel, she said it echoed her real life.

“It’s probably a bit like what I’m going through now,” she said. “She (Sapphire Jones, the star of the novel) went through a divorce, is seeing a younger guy and doesn’t trust men.

“She is just like me really but it ends up being a happy story.

“I’m happy now, I’m very happy.”

When asked how she felt about being described as “disgraceful” by estranged husband Peter Andre, she said: “I’m not commenting on anything about Pete. It’s his choice.”

Yasmin Flynn, 17, of Christchurch was second in the queue last week and arrived at Castlepoint at 3.30am to secure the coveted first place this time.

She said: “We love her, she’s done everything by herself.”

Mandy Pollyn, 45, who was queuing with 13-year-old daughter Hannah said: “We still think she should get back with Peter. We love her and Peter together.”

Friends Gaby Coole, 13, Nicole Moors, 14, Beth Cunningham, 14, Holy James, 14, Sarah Ball, 14, Rebecca Curtis, 14 and Tuesday Alner, 13, had also been waiting in the queue for hours.

When asked why they liked Katie Price so much, they were all in agreement: “She’s beautiful, she’s really pretty. And she’s a really good mum as well, she’s really good with the kids.”
