FIVE illegal immigrants have been removed from the UK after raids on Dorset branches of KFC.

UK Border Agency officials visited three branches of KFC in Poole, Christchurch and Weymouth after receiving reports of illegal working.

A 27-year-old South Korean man was found working illegally in the kitchen of the KFC in Ashley Road, Parkstone.

At the KFC in Barrack Road, Christchurch, a 48-year-old Indian man was found working illegally.

Four men were found to be working ilegally in Weymouth, the agency said.

A 55-year-old woman from Malawi living in a private flat above the Christchurch KFC was found to have overstayed a visitor’s visa.

The six illegal workers and the Malawian visa overstayer were arrested following the raids on Tuesday July 28.

Five people have been removed from the UK and two were released on immigration bail while emergency travel documents are secured for their removal.

All three KFC branches were handed penalty notices.
