“Limited Distribution” – that’s a phrase which has plagued me today. It’s plagued me because it applies to a film that I really, really want to see – “Moon”, starring Sam Rockwell and directed by Duncan Jones, an English director with one particular thing going for him... this film.

I’ve looked through all the cinema websites and the closest showing I can find is in London. Not that I’m averse to going to London of course.

Let me tell you about it.

Sam Bell (Rockwell) has a three year contract to work on the Moon. Responsible for harvesting a new fuel, Sam in the sole employee. His only direct real-time interaction is with GERTY (two times Oscar WINNER Kevin Spacey), an intelligent computer who attends to his day to day needs. With two weeks to go, he gets into an accident which results in him making an unexpected discovery.

Take a look at the trailer.

You might have thought casting Rockwell and Spacey was enough to get this film into cinemas nationwide, but you’d be wrong.

What were you expecting? That a film starring these two was going to come to a cinema near you? Who’s ever heard of Kevin Spacey anyway... oh, hang on.

If you do get to see it then please let me know what it was like. It seems I’ll be waiting for the DVD, which no doubt will only be available from stores in or around the North Circular.

Perhaps you can pick it up for me? Remember, it’s called “Moon” – NOT coming to a cinema near you.

By the way, if you fancy a laugh check out this trailer on YouTube for ‘Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus'. Need I say more?
