A PETROL price war could be on the horizon after Asda slashed forecourt prices to 99.9 pence per litre.
Both unleaded and diesel were taken down across Asda petrol stations, including at Canford Heath, bringing them well below the UK average of 103.8p for unleaded and 105.1p for diesel.
David Miles, Asda commercial director said: “There is no justification for any major retailer selling fuel above £1 per litre.”
Other retailers are now expected to follow suit.

It is high time these G8 or G20 leaders stood up and agreed on prices across the board. Then on the other hand would that ensure Gordon Brown would cut prices.
dont you just get the impression that we're being conned on petrol prices ????
