DMF events vary such as the popular DMF Insights event. This is where you are asked 'What Do You Want To Know' and then DMF use their contacts in the music industry and bring speakers to the shop in Boscombe. Already this year, DMF have welcomed former marketing manager for Virgin Records, Musicians Union, drummer of BabyShambles and Bernie Saunders, a music journalist giving advice on how to deal with the press.

The next DMF Insights is on Monday 27th July at 6.30pm when the Music Publishers Association will be giving advice about the the music industry. This is where the money is in music and DMF are expecting a room packed with musicians wanting to pursue their careers.

Other events range from business training hosted by Creative Leadership, a local company with a fresh and funky approach. "The music industry is no longer about getting signed and making lots of money", as advised by Adam Ficek of BabyShambles last week, "to get along it is now about working hard and running a business." DMF's training is informal yet effective giving confidence with business practice.

Have you visited the Dorset Music Forum shop in Boscombe? Located 2 shops from the Opera House, visitors are welcome to view the DMF Gallery and promote events in the DMF Box Office.

Dorset's music scene is one of the country's most well established in all genres and DMF is here to develop and make introductions.
