Dolphins spotted off Mudeford

THIS superb photograph of a dolphin was captured by Sallie Longman off Mudeford Beach on Saturday.

It was one of a pod of between 12-15 dolphins spotted by Sally.

See Wednesday’s Daily Echo for more of her photographs.

What’s the most unusual sight you have spotted off Dorset’s coast?

Got any great images or video for us? click here...

For more on the dolphins see Wednesday's Daily Echo - more pictures will be uploaded to the site on Wednesday.

That is a great photo. It's just a shame this site always uses such small images, often very bad quality and with strange sometimes colouring too.

Come on Echo - sort it out so we can see enlarged and better quality pictures sometimes.

@divingdave on stories we're restricted to this width I'm afraid - to make them larger we'd have to give them their own page although in this case it's probably worth looking into. We'll see what we can do!

I'm not one to nitpick, especially on a good news story, but when you say "What’s the most unusual site you have spotted off Dorset’s coast.", surely you mean SIGHT?

perhaps if we can get it to stay still long enough some teenagers could stamp it to death

Would a "Click to enlarge" feature be a reasonable suggestion? I'm sure it'd be appreciated!

Beautiful picture. Are there anymore that be uploaded to a gallery, with I agree to the above, click on to enlarge facility. Seems a shame such good pictures on such a small scale.

Perhaps the Echo was trying to INSIGHT somebody to say that they hope it will be the travellers' site!

Sorry to switch over to the awful episode at Upton Country Park...but there may be a question or two for Poole Borough Coucil who have offices at the House.....why do we never see any Wardens around anymore? Have they been confined to offices? Perhaps their presence would effective.....Just had a word over my shoulder from the Old Fella...he has a feeling that they were all made redundant, if this is the case then what happens to the livestock at the Park at weekends? Another ill-conceived cut-back from the Powers that Be at Poole Council? Can anyone enlighten me further? Oh, by the way...where are all the Peacocks or have they met the same fate as that Beautiful Fawn???

The white peacocks got pinched ages ago - can't speak for the others!!

Echo ran a feature on it - try googling peacocks and upton park, you may find a story!!
