AARON Baseby has confirmed he now has full movement back in his right wrist after pulling out of Buccaneers’ home clash against Weymouth last week.

The youngster fell heavily during Bournemouth Castle Cover’s 56-36 romp over the Wildcats and was forced to withdraw injured after bagging five paid six from his opening two rides.

Baseby was initially going to have an X-ray to see if he had broken any bones in his hand after complaining of limited movement in his wrist.

But he said: “It appears to be much better now because I have the full range of movement in my hand again.

“After all the swelling had come up, I woke up on Saturday morning and it felt much better than it had done, so I decided not to go to the doctor.

“So hopefully I’ll be back for Buccaneers at Buxton on Sunday.

“You usually have a good instinct as to whether something is broken when you do it but there is also the pain as well.

“That’s why I played it safe and pulled out of Thursday’s meeting. It’s better to do it that way.

“All the bruising has come out of it now and that’s a good sign.”
