AN ELDERLY couple are today recovering after they were discovered unconscious in their Poole flat suffering carbon monoxide poisoning.
Police were called to the flat on Westminster Road, Branksome Park, just before 2pm on Thursday (February 12) and found the pair out cold in their kitchen.
The couple were rushed to Poole Hospital having inhaled the potentially deadly and odourless gas.
Southern Gas Networks was called and the block of flats was evacuated.
The leak was traced to a faulty boiler and the problem will be fully investigated.
Police said the couple made a full recovery in hospital.
