TWO water sports enthusiasts needed help from Poole’s RNLI on Saturday (SAT JAN 31) afternoon.
One local man needed to be taken to shore after his kitesurfing rig failed at the south end of the harbour around 1.40pm.
While they were en route, the lifeboat crew also picked up a 23-year-old windsurfer suffering fatigue in the Whitley Lake area of the harbour.
Both men were unhurt.
The RNLI lifeboat was also called at 11.25am to tow the rigid inflatable Big Dipper to Poole Quay after it suffered engine failure and drifted east of Boscombe pier.
