MORE than 15,000 people from 120 countries have already signed up for a chance to own a £950,000 home on “Millionaires Row” at Sandbanks – for just £25.

This four-bed home in Seacombe Road is the prize in a competition launched just days ago by Poole-based Vivid Developments Ltd.

And it has already attracted interest from around the globe according to organisers – so much so it crashed the competition website sand bankslife.co.uk.

Managing director Mark Barclay said: “We are all very aware of the economic downturn in the property market so we felt the competition would be an enjoyable way to sell the house and also provide a positive story at the same time.

“Sandbanks has all the ingredients for someone to live the ultimate dream lifestyle and although we were fully prepared for a high number of hits, we couldn’t have anticipated just how successful the launch would be.

“People across Europe, Australia, South Africa and the UK have been logging on to see where they could be living.

“The site is now back up and running and we are overwhelmed by the amount of interest we have received in just 48 hours.”

In order to meet Gambling Commission guidelines, entrants in the Sandbanks home competition will have to answer three questions before they can buy tickets. Only those who get them correct will be entered in the draw.

Vivid Developments need to shift a whopping 52,000 tickets – but they are confident that the lure of Sandbanks will hold the key.

The property was extended and refurbished last year and is now being rented for some £3,000 a month.

It has luxury in abundance, with integrated plasma televisions, a sun balcony off the master bedroom, landscaped gardens and a decked terrace.

The winner will be picked when the competition closes at the end of May next year, and get the keys without shelling out a penny for fees or costs.

If the organisers don’t sell all the tickets they need, the winner will get the cash pot, minus 20 per cent to cover running costs.
