IT’S all over. Lapland New Forest Christmas theme park has finally packed-up and left Matchams.
The controversial attraction moved from its Matchams site on Thursday amid chaotic scenes when customers and the media clashed with staff.
“When staff turned up at 12 o clock they were turned away from the gate and told everything was being packed up” said a source.
“The donkeys and other animals are being loaded into horseboxes and the fairground is being packed up. First aid people have also been told they won’t be needed any more.
“It is chaos at the moment because the traffic situation is really bad and customers are turning up expecting Lapland to be open. There are going to be a lot of disappointed people.”
Alton Towers is offering free tickets to a Christmas event for up to 1,500 disappointed Lapland New Forest customers.
The event is on Saturday December 13 and only families who can provide proof that they have visited, or booked tickets to, Lapland New Forest.
Tickets must be booked by emailing guest.services@alton-towers.com or ringing 0871 222 9901.
Following the many complaints we received about this Lapland experience we took the decision on Sunday, in conjunction with the advertiser, to pull all adverts connected with this event.
