A CAR drove off a cliff and ended upside down on top of a beach hut on the promenade.
The drama unfolded in the early hours of Saturday at West Cliff by the bowling green, Bournemouth.
A witness phoned police to say he thought he had seen the car plunge over the cliff, and could see the car upside down on the promenade.
Emergency services found a male driver was in a red Nissan Primera.
He was treated at the scene for chest pains before he was taken to Poole Hospital. His injuries were said to be not life threatening.
Police closed off a section of West Overcliff Drive with West Cliff Road, and put barriers up by a damaged section of fence. They brought in a hydraulic crane to move the vehicle.
The beach hut, owned by a Bournemouth woman, was destroyed by the impact.

I am pleased the guy is ok but as for the wrecked car....put it in the sea and make an artificial reef.
