RENOWNED wildlife cameraman Hugh Miles is giving members of the public a preview of his latest series of films at the Barrington Theatre in Ferndown.

Cinematographer Hugh, of Corfe Mullen, has contributed to several seminal television wildlife programmes over the last few years, including Life on Earth, Flight of the Condor and Kingdom of the Ice Bear. He has won three Baftas.

For the last four years, he has been working on a series called Catching the Impossible, a celebration of freshwater fish and angling in Britain featuring veteran actor Bernard Cribbins and top angler Martin Bowler.

“They fish together and have some fun travelling around searching for the biggest fish in Britain. Even people who aren’t normally interested in fishing are amazed,” said Hugh.

Among the local locations used are Wimborne, Blandford, Shaftesbury and Christchurch.

The first two episodes of the series will be shown at 8pm next Tuesday, November 25, and on Tuesday December 2.

Tickets are available from the theatre on 01202 894858 or from Bob Simmons on 01202 889283.

Proceeds will go to the Anglers Conser-vation Association and Wimborne Angling Club.
