TWO Londoners have appeared in court accused of murdering 20-year-old Bournemouth University student Luke Campbell, who was found dead in a back garden on the morning of November 8.

Larbi Mohamed, 20, of Westmorland Road, Southwark, and 21-year-old Saeed Alkadir, of Kellett Road, Lambeth, are charged that, together with a person unknown, they murdered Luke on November 7.

The pair, who appeared before magistrates at Bournemouth dressed in black T-shirts and white jogging bottoms, spoke only to confirm their dates of birth.

There was no bail application and both were remanded in custody to appear for a preliminary hearing at Winchester Crown Court on Monday November 24.

Luke, 20, of St John’s Road, Boscombe, died from a stab wound to the chest and was discovered about half a mile away from his student accommodation.

Police were alerted after a man saw his body in the garden of a semi-detached house at the junction of St Clement’s Road and Cleveland Road from the bridge over the main railway line.

Sporty and music-loving Luke, who was known as Luka by his friends, had just moved down to Bournemouth from Burton-on-Trent in the West Midlands to start a four-year degree course in software systems.
