A TEENAGER was dragged into a car in a terrifying attack in the early hours of the morning.
The 18-year-old woman escaped after a struggle when a passer-by came to her aid.
The victim was on the way from a nightclub to a friend’s car when a small “boy racer style” car pulled alongside her and a man offered her a lift.
When she refused, she was pulled into the car through the front door.
There was a struggle in which the woman’s dress was ripped, before a passer-by intervened and helped pull the woman away.
The incident happened in the Lansdowne area after the woman left the iBar on Holdenhurst Road at around 4.30am on Sunday. It is believed to have happened between 4.30am and 5am.
She only recalls seeing one person in the car and it is not clear whether he was the driver. She described him as an Asian man with facial hair.
A Bournemouth CID spokesman said: “I would like to speak with anyone who witnessed – or has any information regarding – this incident as soon as possible.
“We still wish to ascertain the exact intentions of the person who dragged her into the car.
“We would also particularly like to speak with the good Samaritan who assisted the victim in the early hours of Sunday November 9.”
Anyone with information should call Dorset Police 01202 222 222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
