RUSHHOUR traffic backed up for five miles on the A338.
The sheer volume of commuters and holiday-makers clogged up the road northbound causing five mile tailbacks from the Ashley Heath roundabout at 6pm today.
The police were not aware of any accidents or incidents on the road.
