A NIGHT club in Bournemouth is going to get a £500,000 makeover, including a hot tub in the VIP room.

Elements in Firvale Road, famous for being frequented by Prince William, is going to be refurbished and will be renamed Lava & Ignite on August 1.

The club has four rooms and will offer four different types of music from dance, house and garage to soul and retro.

The new Lava & Ignite will have booths with white leather seating which party goers can book in advance.

Clubbers will also be able to book a VIP room with a hot tub - the package includes towels and bar service in the exclusive area.

General manager Paul Timm said: "We have come to the end of an era for Elements and now it's time to inject a fresh new look and name.

"We are still the busiest venue in town and continue to offer superb entertainment and value for money promotions but, with this investment, we will be able to deliver a service with a polished new look."

He added that Lava & Ignite will be "unrecognisable from the old Elements" with new carpets, furniture and lighting.

The club is going to remain open while the refurbishment takes place.

Elements opened in 2000 after the Cage and Zoo was revamped over five months.

Before the Cage and Zoo, which opened in 1992, there was a club called the Maison Royale on the same site.

There are other Lava & Ignite clubs in Bridgend, Burnley, Coventry, Edinburgh, Hemel Hempstead, Northampton, Oxford and Preston.
