TWO female founded companies began a business venture together after messaging over social media.

Professional bra fitter Amy Craddock, from The Fitting Service in Maidstone, had been a fan of the work Kate Taylor had been doing with her Dorset-based company Evenly, specialising in products for breast asymmetry.

Amy admired Kate’s brand message, that the bra needs changing, not the person with asymmetry, and reached out to enquire about stocking the Evenly Bra Balancer in her shop.

Evenly’s products are now stocked in The Fitting Service, which specialises in helping women who have breast asymmetry or who need prosthetics after having cancer surgeries.

This is the first wholesale venture for Evenly and means women can now get properly fitted for a bra by Amy and try out the Evenly range to see how it helps their bra to fit better right there in the changing room, rather than ordering online.

Research shows that up to 88 per cent of women have some form of breast asymmetry, whether it’s from changes through hormones, menopause, cancer surgeries or from conditions like Poland Syndrome.

Kate said: “I want women to know that breast asymmetry is totally normal – after all our breasts are sisters not twins. Bodies are built to be unique and it’s lovely that people can now feel confident to go see Amy and try the Evenly products out for themselves.”

Amy added: “Getting a properly fitted bra will make you feel fantastic. There are lots of great options out there and you should leave feeling more confident, comfortable and better supported at the end.”

The pair have been planning how to help women #BreakTheTaboob around breast asymmetry and feel confident in their unique bodies.

The friends bonded over their shared experience of working as entrepreneurs and around the challenges and joys of having young children.
