THE family of Lee Darren Wheatley, who died in a motorbike collision in Broadstone, have paid tribute to him as "a legend" who "lived life to the full."

Lee, a motorcycle engineer, died in a road traffic collision on Springdale Road, Broadstone on May 30.

The 31-year-old, of Georges Mews, Corfe Mullen, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sister Jo said tributes to her brother had been flooding in. She said: "He was a guy who lived life to the full, a legend and an all round fantastic mate.

"He worked at Honda of Bournemouth and lived for his motorbikes, Enduro racing, cycling, kayaking, and all things dangerous and challenging - if it wasn't difficult, he didn't want to know.

"Last year, Lee came third in the Expert class in Enduro racing with the Southern Counties Enduro Club, and his aim this year was to come first which we expected him to do.

"Lee lived life to the full, was much loved by his family and his friends, and had the respect of all who knew him. Family and friends are devastated.

"The family have been overwhelmed with the support and messages from all Lee's friends, too numerous to mention."

There is a service to celebrate Lee's life tomorrow at 2pm at the Wimborne Woodland Burial Ground.

A remembrance site has been set up on Facebook.

An inquest into his death has been opened and adjourned.
