WOULD-be robbers ramraided a bank earlier today and a police car was vandalised outside the same branch.
According to the police there was an attempted robbery at the Abbey branch in New Milton at 3.40am today.
A police car parked at the scene was then vandalised at 5.10am.
A back-up police car arrived at the scene in Station Road and collided with the silver car used by the vandals, who then drove off.
No one was injured in the incident but the windows and body work of the police car were damaged.
Police are still investigating the incident at the scene.
