IT'S busy school drop-off time at Lilliput First School and still some parents are too impatient to drop their children off safely.

The Poole school was the latest to come under the scrutiny of the Daily Echo's Parking Mad campaign.

On the morning the Echo visited, we caught just one careless father ignoring the yellow zig-zags and parking outside the school.

With a drive from the front gate to the school, there seemed absolutely no need for anyone to be dropping off on the zig-zags.

But the presence of the drive, lined with double yellow lines, was not enough to stop some inconsiderate parents causing havoc.

The Echo spotted three cars parking on the double yellows at the top of the drive to let their children out, despite all the other parents waiting patiently in line.

These vehicles then performed three-point turns in the narrow drive, blocking other traffic and putting children's safety at risk.

In general, most parents proved sensible and patient in taking their children down the school's drive to the front door.

Lilliput headteacher Julie Jeans said the school's rules asked parents not to use the drive to turn around in.

She said: "We would much rather they drop the children off near to the school.

"We do keep reminding parents about the rules and the children's safety.

"The majority of them are sensible and parking is not so much of a problem.

"But we fully support anything that will improve children's safety in getting to school."
