FIREFIGHTERS started Christmas Day with an early hours callout to a van blaze in Bournemouth.
A crew from Springbourne attended the incident in St Alban's Crescent at around 12.45am.
Resident Benjamin Todd, who saw the fire service bring the blaze under control, said damage was also caused to a Ford Focus parked next to the van.
A spokeswoman for Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called at around 12.45am on December 25.
"A crew from Springbourne attended reports of a van fire."
"The fire was extinguished using two breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and some dampening down.
"The stop message came at around 1.21am."
