POLICE have reassured parents after a 'suspicious vehicle' near a school was reported this week.
Officers based in Swanage were called out after concerned members of the public got in touch about the vehicle.
However, the team found everything was in order, and say there is no cause for alarm.
An officer said a number of calls were received.
"Following reports of a suspicious vehicle at a Swanage school, the local neighbourhood team carried out some patrols nearby," the officer said.
"Just to reassure you, the vehicle was identified and the owner spoken to and was all in order.
"The calls were made with good intent and we encourage you to call us to report any suspicious activity."
