The marquee is open for all four days of the air festival but on Sunday September 2 proceeds will go to the John Thornton Young Achievers' Foundation.

The foundation was set up in memory of John Thornton, a 22-year-old former pupil of Ferndown Upper School who was killed in Afghanistan in 2008.

It supports young people from a wide range of youth organisations, providing them with scholarships and bursaries. To date it has made awards to more than 1,300 young people, which total more than half a million pounds.
