CHOCOHOLICS rejoice! A Willy Wonka-inspired chocolate festival is heading to Bournemouth. It’s safe to say that the UK is a nation of chocolate lovers. According to latest research, each person consumes an average of 11kg per year.

The Fantastical Chocolate Festival - one of the first of its kind - is probably the closet thing to winning a famed golden ticket to Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory. Sweet treats include chocolate fountains and fondues, candyfloss flowers, candy apple stalls, ice-cream creations, giant chocolate eggs and bubble waffles. Everything to satisfy your sweet tooth desires, will be brought to life in what’s described as a magical setting.

The festival is set to visit around 40 cities around the UK this winter including Bournemouth Pavilion on Saturday, December 1.

There will also be singalong live music, Willy Wonka themed characters and story corners, free themed photo booths and chocolate sculpting,

Younger children can also enjoy an arts and crafts station where they can decorate chocolate eggs, enjoy some chocolate tasting and a chocolate factory-themed play zone.

And there will also be an upgrade on Willy Wonka's factory as this event will also include chocolate-infused booze of all types ranging from alcoholic milkshakes and hot chocolate to chocolate flavoured vodka, wine, gin and beer.

The event is split into an afternoon and evening session, with ticket prices starting at £6 for kids (or £9 to include a goody bag with hot chocolate mug, and skewers for dipping) to £9 for adults (£15 with goody bag). To register for tickets, visit fantasticalchocolate.com
