EDDIE Howe says he is confident of the style which West Ham will adopt against Cherries tomorrow – but not necessarily their personnel.
The Hammers welcomed a sizeable influx of new players over the summer and boss Manuel Pellegrini – appointed in May – gave six debuts in the season-opening fixture at Liverpool.
The likes of Jack Wilshere, Felipe Anderson and Andriy Yarmolenko featured in the 4-0 loss and Pellegrini could be tempted to shake things up by involving deadline day signings Lucas Perez and Carlos Sanchez against Cherries.
Asked if West Ham’s new look made it tricky to know what his team would be up against, Howe told the Daily Echo: “It makes it a bit more difficult in terms of trying to figure out their team selection.
“But as I always say in this situation, you know their style of play and what they are trying to work on from the pre-season games and the Liverpool game.
“We’ll have a very good idea of how they want to play. The personnel within that is unknown.
“We will have our way of playing but you always need to be mindful of things which they do and certain things which you want to try to stop.”
