AN A-level student from Poole is celebrating after turning a predicted U-grade in to an A.
Like thousands of others, Parkstone Grammar student Hannah Sinclair-Walker nervously opened her A-level results to find out how well she had done.
However, hopes were not high as Hannah had been predicted a U in maths.
To her delight, Hannah found she had achieved three As in French, German and maths.
Speaking to the Echo, she said: “It was crazy. I had been dreaming about what I was going to get.
“It was so surreal I did not expect it at all.”
Hannah spoke of her disappointment at her prediction, which meant she couldn’t apply to the universities she wanted to.
“I worked so hard to get a better predicted grade so I could apply to uni. I was then predicted a D, but I showed them.”
Hannah said her revision schedule was intense as she completed a past paper every day, but in the end, it was “worth it.”
Now she has received her results, the 18-year-old is considering either a place at Manchester University to study French and German or taking a year out to live in Germany.
In the meantime, she is having a quiet celebration with her friends this evening before heading out tomorrow night.
