A MAN charged with attempted murder after two people allegedly suffered stab wounds in Southbourne on Friday night has been remanded into custody by magistrates.
Michael Marucci, of Burleigh Road, appeared at Poole Magistrates' Court for a preliminary hearing on Monday.
The 48-year-old is accused of the attempted murder of Keiran Doble at an address in Burleigh Road. He has also been charged with committing grievous bodily harm with intent against Julia Doble.
Police were called to reports of a disturbance in the stretch at 7.50pm. A man and a woman suffered stab wounds. Both were rushed to hospital.
Officers cordoned off two Southbourne properties and residents reported seeing at least six marked cars and an ambulance.
Marucci has not yet entered pleas to either of the charges. He will next appear before a judge at a plea and trial preparation hearing at Winchester Crown Court on September 5.
