SIX fire crews tackled a blaze on heathland at Bournemouth's Kings Park on Wednesday afternoon.
Fire engines from Redhill, Springbourne, Westbourne and Christchurch were joined by a Land Rover pump following an emergency call just after 5.15pm.
An area of heath around 30mx50m was alight and was extinguished by 6pm using four hose reel jets and beaters.
Two crews remained on the scene until 6.45pm to damp down and a check was made later in the evening to ensure the fire was out.
The cause is not yet known
