FURTHER to David Reed's letter about the police helicopter.

It's all very well for people to criticise David but, I presume they don't live under the flight path. I do!

The police helicopter flies low and hovers around the Boscombe, Lansdowne, East Cliff area almost weekly at all hours of the day and night, usually for 30-40 mins. The noise is horrendous, disturbing literally hundreds of people. I do not believe that this is all about serious crime - almost weekly?

I have emailed the NPAS and suggest that they use drones. The helicopter is, after all, fundamentally only an 'eye in the sky' - as it says on their own website. If drones are good enough to monitor and catch terrorists (as they are all the time!) I'm sure they are good enough to find a missing person or a stolen car - as this is what they seem to do most of the time (see NPAS Twitter feed). Not to mention the HUGE cost of a helicopter, certainly compared to a drone.
