A PARENT has admitted assaulting the assistant head of Poole High School.
Stuart Rolph had initially denied a charge of assaulting Adam Dolman by beating him at the Wimborne Road school on November 20 last year.
However, when he appeared for a trial at Poole Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, the defendant, 56, changed his plea.
Prosecutors said Rolph, of Haymoor Road in Poole, made "low-level physical contact" after a confrontation sparked when his son was kept back for detention.
It was heard his arm brushed against Mr Dolman during an argument with staff.
The defendant, who is also known as Mark Davis, was handed a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. No compensation was ordered as Mr Dolman did not suffer any injury.
