DOZENS of nurses are being “tracked” by Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals trust following a recruitment campaign in Dubai earlier this year.

Two trust matrons visited the United Arab Emirates earlier this year, attending a recruitment event as part of work to fill nursing vacancies.

On Wednesday, the trust’s board of directors was told that they were “tracking 80-odd people” through its overseas recruitment work but that it was “a slow process”.

One nurse has completed all of the tests required as part of the emigration process and the trust is expecting the first of the new employees to begin working in the autumn.
