THERE were more dogs than you could shake a stick at in Upton Country Park today.

With a line-up including agility and training classes, a fun show with prizes, dozens of stalls providing everything from food and grooming products to a doggy DNA test, the Dorset Dog Festival had plenty to offer their owners.

There were plenty of paddling pools dotted around the field in front of the historic house, giving those a four legs an opportunity to cool off, while everyone else made to with the marquee.

There was also a big walk held at 10am before the start of the event proper, making allowance for the high temperatures.

The event, sponsored by I-MAC Fire & Security, Pal4Paws and Natterjacks, was free to enter.
