A GREEN inflatable crocodile was seen drifting offshore near Swanage on Monday afternoon.
The Swanage Inshore Lifeboat was launched to recover the inflatable to the east of Peveril Ledge.
Volunteers worked together with Swanage National Coastwatch to locate the small object.
The inflatable was recovered at around 2.55pm and confirmed that no one was with the inflatable.
The lifeboat returned to the slipway at 3.06pm.
A young visitor then came to the lifeboat station and became the proud owner of the inflatable crocodile.
