A MAN suffered injuries after jumping from the sea wall in Swanage.

The incident happened on Tuesday afternoon at the stone quay.

Coastguards were alerted to a 55-year-old man who had jumped off the sea wall at the stone quay landing five feet below and injuring both ankles.

A spokesman for Swanage Coastguard said: “The teams immediately provided first aid and treated the male for a potential spinal and neck injury.

“An ambulance was tasked and with the help of the coastguard recovered him back over the sea wall to the ambulance.”
