TRAVELLERS have established an unauthorised encampment at Canford Cliffs Chine in Poole.
One motorhome, a trailer and associated vehicles are in a small park area.
Local resident Jeremy Davies said: "What exactly am I paying my rates for again Borough of Poole?
"Change the law now and stop giving us residents six weeks of hell every year as our friendly suburb becomes one of crime and fear."
Yesterday, the Borough of Poole (BOP) confirmed: "We have an unauthorised encampment on BOP land comprising of one motorhome, one mobile camping trailer and associated vehicles.
"Temporary toilets will be provided in accordance with council policy in order to reduce any contamination to the land.
"The site will continue to be monitored as part of the legal process for the removal of the travellers."
