A FERRY master has appeared in court accused of misconduct.
Oliver Jarvis, 35, of Lagland Street, Poole, is charged with manoeuvring the Maid of Poole β the yellow Brownsea Island ferry which departs from Poole Quay βin such a way as to cause damage to another vessel.
The case is being prosecuted by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency.
Jarvis appeared at Poole Magistrates Court on Thursday where he denied the charge, and opted to be tried before a jury at Bournemouth Crown Court.
The alleged incident is said to have occurred in Poole Harbour, off the quayside, on September 17 last year.
The case will be heard at the crown court on August 9.
