THE application to change the use of agricultural land for an off-site airport car parking facility have been withdrawn - weeks after the firm dumped hundreds of car keys at Bournemouth Airport.
BOMO Parking Services suddenly stopped its service last month, citing a "sustained attack online and offline by a known individual" as the reason for shutting down the business.
The firm had applied to Christchurch Borough Council to change the use of the land that cars were parked on near Adventure Wonderland after it had been using unauthorised parts of the land not covered by a previous planning application.
Council planning officers were still in the process of assessing the application, which was first submitted in November last year.
The service was opposed by Bournemouth Airport and the application has now been withdrawn suggesting any return for the off-site parking service in the near future looks unlikely.
