FANS of Muse, the world-renowned, multi-award winning band, will be able to see a specially recorded film of their ambitious Drones World Tour on the big screen in Christchurch later this month.

Muse, comprising of Matt Bellamy, Chris Wolstenholm and Dominic Howard, are famous for pushing boundaries in terms of their stage productions.

The tour which took place in 2015/16, saw the band perform ‘in the round’ from the middle of the arena, with the stage design and configuration giving fans a full 360-degree audio/visual sensory experience.

A tour spokesman explained: “Central to the tour’s visuals were the drones, which flew autonomously above the stage and across the audience, alongside giant projections which interacted with the band members on stage.

“This spectacle, featuring LEDs and lasers perfectly complimented the band’s celebrated repertoire.”

Audiences can expect to hear many of the band’s key songs which were performed on the tour including Psycho, Madness, Uprising, Plug in Baby, Supermassive Black Hole and Knights of Cydonia.

Filmed and recorded over multiple shows, the concert film also includes ‘never before seen special effects’ along with an exclusive insight from the band in the introduction.

Muse: Drones World Tour (PG) will hit the big screen at the Regent Centre in Christchurch on Wednesday July 25 at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £15 for adults and concessions £12.
