SCHOOLCHILDREN from across East Dorset competed in their own 'mini Olympics'.
More than 150 youngsters aged four and five from Sixpenny Handley, St James’, St Mary’s, and Oakhurst first schools, as well as Three Legged Cross and St Ives primary schools, took part in the event.
Clare Hewitt, headteacher of Sixpenny Handley First School, said: “It’s an honour to hold this event for all our youngest pupils.
“Our year four sports leaders also played a big part motivating and praising the younger children as well as explaining and scoring the events – they did their job brilliantly.
“We’ve also been extremely blessed with the weather each year we’ve held this event."
Children took part in an obstacle course, participated in hurdles and egg and spoon races and showcased their hockey skills.
Three Legged Cross, representing Brazil, won gold.
