BURGLARS are raiding Poole businesses, police have warned, after one company was targeted twice within days.

Power tools worth more than £1,500 were stolen from SIG Roofing in Barter Road after burglars forced open a door.

Makita tools were taken during the raid, which happened sometime between 6pm on Saturday, June 30 and 6.45am on Monday, July 2.

The total value of the tools is around £1,650.

Burglars have also targeted Natural Stone and Timber on two occasions in the past few weeks.

The first incident took place between 3pm on May 19 and 7am on May 21. The offenders, who gained access to the building via a window in Barter Road, stole £10.

Sometime between 2pm on June 20 and 7.30am on July 2, burglars returned to the building, cutting a hole in the mesh fence at the rear of the property and forcing entry.

Sets of keys for two forklift trucks and a small amount of change was stolen.

Police say the offenders then attempted to break into a "number of other premises" nearby.
